We have changed our DNTurbo service. If you’re not familiar with DNTurbo, it is a domain brokerage service which aims to sell domains within 1 week. The main change to the service is that we no longer require an upfront deposit. The main purpose of this is to refine the quality of domains we select to broker and to remove steps in the financial process in order to make Nomzo more efficient.

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009Domain Name News released a glowing article with the latest domain sales on Sedo. The headlining sale was Brazil.com for $500,000, followed by Payment.com for $250,000. An interesting acquisition to note for domainers was DomainAppraisal.com for $52,000. Hopefully the new owners will not follow the business model of the appraisal scam artists who send us emails offering 10 times the asking price.
In other news, it turns out Yahoo was the buyer of OMG.com for $80,000. They have an exisiting celebrity gossip site, omg.yahoo.com.
